Exploring the Birthplace of Democracy
In collaboration with the Mycenaean Foundation, this exclusive six-day journey explores the history, archaeology, and enduring legacy of Classical Athens—the birthplace of democracy. Led by Professor Dr. Christofilis Maggidis, President of the Mycenaean Foundation, participants examine the rise of Athenian democracy through visits to the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Pnyx, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Marathon, the silver mines of Lavrion, the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, and some of Greece’s most important archaeological museums.
