Introduction for the Mycenaean Foundation's Online Courses:
Welcome to the Mycenaean Foundation’s Online Courses, where the ancient world comes alive through engaging, interactive, and academically enriching learning experiences. Designed for students, educators, professionals, and lifelong learners alike, our exclusive online courses offer a unique opportunity to explore archaeology, ancient history, art, and cultural heritage under the guidance of internationally recognized scholars, including Professor Christofilis Maggidis, alongside distinguished guest lecturers and specialists.
Our annual series of live online courses is carefully developed to make high-quality archaeological education accessible to participants around the world. Whether you are seeking personal enrichment, professional development, or a deeper understanding of the ancient civilizations that shaped our world, each course provides an immersive and rewarding educational experience.
Each course runs over four weeks and consists of 10 live online lectures (approximately 1–1.5 hours per session, meeting twice per week), for a total of approximately 10–15 contact hours. To ensure an engaging and interactive learning environment, enrollment is limited to just 12–15 participants per course, allowing ample opportunity for discussion, questions, and personalized interaction with instructors.
Please note: Mycenaean Foundation online courses are intended for educational enrichment purposes only and do not carry university academic credit.

Course Outcomes
- Receive a Certificate of Completion from the Mycenaean Foundation recognizing participation and commitment to continuing education.

Course Schedule & Registration
Beginning in January 2027, the Mycenaean Foundation will offer three online courses every three months, providing participants with multiple opportunities throughout the year to explore a wide range of archaeological and historical topics.
If a course you are interested in is not currently open for registration, we invite you to complete our Course Interest & Pre-Registration Form to reserve your place on the priority notification list. By submitting the form, you can express your interest and effectively save your seat for a future offering. Once registration officially opens, you will be contacted by email with instructions to complete your enrollment and submit payment before registration is made available to the general public.
Please note that our online courses are offered on a rotating schedule and will be repeated throughout the year. If you miss a registration period, you will have another opportunity to enroll when the course is offered again.

The Odyssey Through Time: Homer’s Epic in Literature, Art, and Modern Culture
For over 3,000 years, Homer’s Odyssey has shaped the way humanity understands heroism, identity, resilience, and the meaning of home. This online course traces the extraordinary legacy of the ancient epic from classical antiquity to the present day, exploring how Odysseus’ journey has inspired literature, visual art, psychology, cinema, and immersive digital media.
